When using resources from a source, the source should always be credited. For media-based resources (e.g., Images, Videos, Audio), this information should be entered into the Summary section when uploading a file. This should include a summary about what the media is, the source that extracted or retrieved the resource, a link to their website if possible (a user's wiki page is fine!), and the game that the media is associated to. When there is no game and the media covers a broad set of information about multiple games, "Multiple" should be used in place of the game name.

Permitted Sources
Editors should strive to find media and source material from official sources and/or archivists that have permitted the wiki to use archived material. The following are common, but not all-inclusive sources that editors should prioritize:
Official Sources
The Legend of Zelda Official Site (US, JP)
Approved Archivists
History of Hyrule (website)
Prohibited Sources
While there are few restrictions on sources that can be used, there are several that are explicitly prohibited. The reason for prohibition of a source is not always disclosed, but the wiki will strive to provide transparent reasoning where it makes sense to do so. The list of prohibited sources are as follows:
- Any and all wikis hosted on Fandom.
- Reason: Fandom Terms of Service
- Zelda Wiki
- Zelda Dungeon Wiki
