The Temple of Hylia was built at the center of the world [1]. It was the location that Hylia gathered the survivors of the battle with Demise and sent the small section of land containing her statue to the Sky.
The Sealed Temple
After raising the land around her temple to the Sky, the area around the temple became known as the Sealed Grounds. At that time, the parts of the temple complex that remained on the Surface became known as the Sealed Temple.
The Isle of the Goddess
The land that Hylia raised to the Sky became known as The Isle of the Goddess. It is important to note that the Isle of the Goddess refers only to the section of land that the goddess statue resided on, and does not include Skyloft, implying that the land that comprises Skyloft was raised from somewhere else.
Layout
The temple layout reflects one of a cathedral, complete with a lady chapel, sanctuary, transepts, and a nave. The entry vestibule is dome shaped and contains a crest featuring the Triforce and sage crests that match the symbols on the Sage Medallions.
