女神ハイリア (Goddess Hylia)
Summary
Hylia is a goddess that was a prominent figure in the early events of the world. Her actions directly shaped and altered the course of history for multiple groups, including her own people, the Hylians as well as the Sheikah and the Zonai. After the creation of the world, the Goddesses entrusted Hylia with the care of the Triforce and the Secret Stones.
Events
The Goddess Hylia and the Ancient Battle
During the era of the goddess Hylia, many demons arose in pursuit of the Triforce. The leader, Demise, the Demon King, tried to take over the world with his evil powers.[1]
Hylia Raises Skyloft
After a battle against the demonic forces, Hylia gathered the humans who had survived, along with the Triforce, onto a plot of land and sent it into the sky. She positioned a heavy barrier of clouds between the island in the sky and the land below to protect the humans and the Triforce.[1]
Demise Is Sealed
The goddess and the remaining tribes on the Surface battled for their lives against Demise. They were victorious, and they sealed him away.[1]
Hylia Renounces Her Divinity
The land was saved, but the seal that kept the Demon King imprisoned was weak. In an attempt to destroy Demise, the goddess Hylia tried to use the power of the Triforce. However, a goddess cannot wield its power. Thus, the goddess Hylia decided to renounce her divinity and be reborn as a human.
With Hylia's passing, Impa of the Sheikah tribe was entrusted with watching over the sealed prison of the Demon King until she returned.[1]
The Sheikah Are Entrusted With Watching Over the Seal of Demise
After Hylia's passing, the Sheikah were entrusted with watching over the seal on Demise and to watch for her return. During the events of Skyward Sword, Impa can be found inside of the Sealed Temple. She guides Link and provides information about the events of the past.[1]
The Zonai Are Entrusted With Protecting the Secret Stones
The Goddess Hylia entrusted the secret stones to the Zonai. The complete reason why she did this is unknown, but it speculated to be directly related to the events following the Breach of Demise.[2]
