In the Era of the Goddess Hylia, Impa played a pivotal role on two fronts. Impa from the past acted as the guardian for Zelda while the Impa that the Hero of the Sky encountered had been protecting the Sealed Temple for thousands of years.

Impa was crucial in assisting Zelda on her path to awaken as the Goddess Hylia. She aided Zelda in reaching the Sacred Springs of Heaven and Earth so that she could cleanse herself as part of the ritual to regain her memories as Hylia.
