Summary

The Sage Medallions are imbued with the power of the sages that Link awakens during the course of the events of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time^[1].

Relationship to the Secret Stones

There is no formal link between the Sage Medallions and the Secret Stones, but the description provided by The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Historia makes it clear that they contain the power of awakened sages. Based on information from cut content, many of the medallions were equippable and provided Link with powers suitably aligned to the Sage for each medallion^[2]^[3].
