First Chronological Appearance
First Game Appearance
Across the series, there are several locations that function as labyrinths[citation needed].
Lomei
There are three Lomei Labyrinths in Hyrule. Though their first appearance was in Breath of the Wild, in-universe explanations and archaeology hint that they date back to pre-history[1][2][3]. In the Era of the Wilds, Zelda explains that they are named for Lomei, but no information is provided to hint if Lomei was a person, group, or pre-history name for the land on which they reside.
Bearing the Name North Lomei
North Lomei
The North Lomei Labyrinth is a harsh environment and an unsurprisingly labyrinthine structure... It has high walls but is otherwise unlike most fortifications. It did once hold an ancient relic meant for the bearer of the sword that seals the darkness, so perhaps it was a trial or test of some kind? I may just have to ask Link to investigate...
