Summary

The Gates of Time were two powerful relics left behind by the Goddess Hylia^{[citation needed]}. At the end of the Era of the Goddess Hylia, the gate that was located at the Temple of Time in the Lanayru Desert was shattered by Impa, leaving the only remaining gate at the Temple of Hylia.

The Gate of Time is shaped similar to a gear. When activated, two smaller gears protrude, seemingly from another dimension, and rotate, causing the Gate of Time to rotate as well. The gates feature twelve teeth, each with a distinct symbol, the purpose and meaning of which is unknown.
